Welcome back to All Recipes. Today we are going to make a chicken karahai in quarantine days . During this pandemic corona virus covid-19 . Most of the people are familiar with this chicken recipe . Few of people do not know how to make a chicken karahi . So, in today’s article we are going to show you, how you can make a chicken karahi in few simple steps. Chicken karahi is one of the most famous dishes made in Pakistan. This is one of the most popular chicken dishes in Asian countries. Without wasting any time let’s move on and see how we can make chicken karahi today.
- One tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- Three green chilies (cut them length wise).
- 1/4 cup of water.
- 1/3 cup of oil.
- Six tomatoes (Cut them into small pieces).
- Hara Dhannia (Cilantro leaves).
- Two tablespoons cilantro seeds (crush them first).
- One complete chicken (skinless, cute the chicken into16-17 pieces).
- One yellow onion. (cut them)
- One and half tablespoon lal mirch (cayenne).
- 1/3 cup yogurt.
- 1/2 black pepper.
- 3/4 -1 tablespoon salt.
- One and 1/2 half tablespoon cumin.
Method of making Chicken karahi
Here is simple chicken karahi recipe . Let’s begin! Pour oil into the cooking pot and turn on the flame to give medium heat to the pot to make karahi chicken . After that, when you observe oil has become hot pour the chopped onions and cook for 6 and half minutes. Cook until the edges starts to become little brown.
Chicken karahi is same as like making white chicken karahi with a little bit of difference. Now, add the pieces of chicken into the cooking pot and mix well for 3-4 minutes. Now add cumin, ginger garlic paste, salt, pepper, red chili powder, yogurt and coriander seeds mix very well to coat the chicken pieces .
Turn on the flame on highest level and cook for at least 5 and a half minutes. Put the water inside the cooking pot add tomatoes, chilies and cilantro. And mix well for at least 2 minutes. Now at this point turn off the flame to low level, cover the cooking pot with a lid and let the chicken karahi cook for 21 minutes.
Moving Toward Final Phase of Chicken Karahi
After 21 minutes, remove the cover from the cooking pot and turn on the flame to high level to evaporate the water. Water will be evaporated within 10-16 minutes, after that mix the chicken very well. This is a final step, put the cover back and turn off the flame to its lowest possible level setting for 4-10 minutes.
After 4-10 minutes turn off the flame completely, remove the cover from the cooking pot. Now, garnish chicken karahi with green chili and cilantro. Your chicken karahi is ready to serve. You can serve it to 4-6 peoples with naan or roti.
